Spring Fling 2010

Every year the Elsberry Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) holds a Spring Fling for grades pre-K through fourth grade sometime in May before the end of the school year.  This year's event was held on the Catholic church grounds where the students had plenty of room to play and easily accessible from school.  This day is very exciting and action packed for the kids.  A schedule is set up so that each class can enjoy the inflatables and events during the day.  These include obstacle course inflatable, slide/rock wall inflatable, ship inflatable, face painting, parachute activities, sack races, bean bag toss, belly bumper races, tug of war, ball games, and hula hoop chain.  Also during the day the children enjoy snacks such as ring pops, drink boxes, popsicles and popcorn.  Of course they make time for a picnic lunch between all the events.  One favorable thing to this event is that each child and teacher are given a t-shirt t commemorate the event.  Each grade is represented by a color which makes it easier to keep track of students.
