High school can be hectic enough, much less being a student just entering high school. This year, high school counselor, Julie Basler organized a first ever, Freshmen Orientation for Elsberry students. This gave students the opportunity to participate in some team building activities, hear about organizations available in high school, library procedures, computer usage and learn about items that would be necessary to a students success in high school. Book Fair is coming to Clarence Cannon Elementary Library! Our Book Fair theme this year is Heroes: Reading Saves the Day. Family Fun Night will be Wednesday, September 15, from 3:00-8:00PM, with learning activities and refreshments from 6:00-7:00PM. Loose Change for Books is a terrific way to contribute to your child's classroom. Toss loose change into the bottle, and your child's teacher will be allowed to spend every penny at the Book Fair. Kindergarten We are off to a great start. Our morning message has special letters for us to find. In phonics our letters are L, O. We study a letter a week. Math is a little challenging, we have to listen and follow the directions because we are learning about same and different, before, after and between, sorting by color, shapes and size.
